YOUTH RESOURCE CENTER FUNDRAISER
At Agape Haven of Abundance, we’re as devoted as ever to empowering our community. However, we’ve outgrown our current building and no longer have the capacity to serve in our current space. As such, we’ve decided to expand our single residential building into a commercial-sized community center to host additional programs, increase participant enrollment, and meet our community’s growing needs. While we've been honored to receive a Dormitory Grant nominated by the NYS Senate and NYS House of Representatives, we still need more funding to cover the full cost of this transformative endeavor.
WE PLAN TO ADD:
A multi-purpose community room to serve food, provide after-school programming, and host work-based learning experiences
An acute wellness clinic to create a safe space for physical/mental health support in partnership with medical students
A kitchen to prepare hot meals and teach nutritional classes
A larger pantry to address food insecurity on a greater scale
A laundry room to teach practical life skills and wash clothes regularly
A digital literacy laboratory to equip individuals with essential tech skills
A community library to nurture a love for learning and literacy
A handicap entrance to welcome community members with disabilities
A greenhouse to foster STEM skills and deepen understanding of ecology and environmental science
