OUT-OF-SCHOOL TIME PROGRAM

Research shows that children spend 80% of their waking hours outside of school. As such, a child’s social emotional and cognitive development relies heavily on out-of-school time programs to produce positive outcomes. This program is the cornerstone of Agape Haven of Abundance, serving urban school-aged students, underprivileged youth, and justice-involved young adults. Our ultimate goal is to eradicate intergenerational poverty and foster upward mobility.

PROGRAM DETAILS

  • Offers educational enrichment activities, mindfulness meditation, social/emotional support, and homework help

  • Gives children a safe place to gather and foster positive relationships with their peers and adult mentors

  • Helps develop life skills through workforce development, financial literacy, experiential learning, and community engagement

  • Grants access to nutritious food to develop healthy eating habits

Who: Rochester City School District and Charter School students ages 6-17

When: After school, school recesses, and holiday breaks
