RESTORATIVE JUSTICE
Restorative justice provides communities with tangible benefits by shifting focus from punitive measures to healing, accountability, and actively repairing harm. This program provides offenders of nonviolent crimes referred by the Monroe County Department of Probation with diversions from commitment to the County Jail. It's more cost-effective than incarceration, helps offenders make positive contributions in the future, and reduces recidivism.
